HAILEY IN THE WONDERWOODS. (New in October 2011)
With the help of her cat, Fluffy, Hailey gets all the creatures in the woods,
and especially the audience, to frighten off 2 boys who are tearing up the
Wonderwoods on their 4-wheeler.  Lots of audience participation.
12 characters, all could be children; many could be adults. Simple set.

Monologues for middle school girls

CONFESSIONS OF A PEANUT BUTTER ADDICT
Wrestling with her addiction to peanut butter, a girl reaches out for help.
Comedy. Available at YouthPlays; published in MIDDLE SCHOOLIN' IT.
Character: a middle school girl. Time: about 10 minutes.

I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A CAT
Character: a middle school girl. Time: about 6 minutes.
The girl talks, as if in confidence to a friend of about the same age.
From an early age, she has wanted a cat—really a kitten—but her
mother has always turned down various possible kittens or cats.
Near the end of the monologue, the girl confides that she may have
solved the problem…and just then her mother calls to say she is bringing
home…what?
